With a strong hospitality background and his determination and commitment, Mr. Paul Dubrule, co-founder of Accor Hotels, created l’École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, as a personal initiative. A great cycling enthusiast, at 68 years old he embarked on a pedaling journey of 15,272 kilometers from Fontainebleau to Siem Reap in February 2002. Eight months later, he arrived in Siem Reap for the grand opening of the school on October 24th, 2002.
The École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, a project of the NGO Formation et Progrès-Cambodge, has progressively established itself as one of the most renowned vocational schools for hospitality and tourism in Cambodia. In close collaboration and support with our partners, Accor Hotels and the prestigious Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, the school has provided training to over 3500 Cambodian youth. On average, we welcome 300 students each year with 30% on scholarships.
We offer 5 ASEAN certified programs, all accredited by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Tourism: Food & Beverage Service, Food Production Cookery, Food Production Patisserie, Front-Office & Housekeeping and Travel Agencies Operations. In partnership with the prestigious École Hôtelière de Lausanne and Accor, EHT also offers a Diploma in Hospitality Management, since 2016.
We are proud that 92% of our team is Khmer. Our partners include more than 90 local and foreign organizations committed to promote and support our project. We are also a proud ASSET-H&C member.
