Fashion Design from Slim’s Fashion & Arts School
Full course includes pertinent fundamentals such as freehand drawing, color theory, anatomy and apparel design. This comprehensive course arms students not just with fashion sketching skills, but with a strong art-based foundation that enables them to fully develop both talent and aesthetic sense.
Our FASHION DESIGN course is divided into two sections:
Teaches the student how to draw – from the very basics up to drawing the fashion figure and various rendering techniques.
- Module I Beginners (24 sessions)
This module introduces the basic foundation of Fine Arts: elements of design (shape, line, value, & texture) and the use of dry media; the study of anatomy; and fashion figures in a stylized manner.
- Module II Advanced (19 sessions) prerequisite Module I
This module covers the introduction of basic apparel design; fashion terminologies; different types of clothing designs; the study of colors; and the basic watercolor techniques and rendering using this medium.
- Module I Intermediate (25 sessions) prerequisite Fashion Illustration Course
This module covers the development of contemporary fashion in relation to the historical events of certain eras; application of design elements and principles in fashion; the process of creativity; and design development.
***(for Non-Slim’s students who already took a course related in Fashion Design or Fine Arts from other schools, you need to take the Admission Exam.)
- Module II Advanced (20 sessions) prerequisite Module I of Fashion Design
This module mainly focuses on designing for the real world: creating designs for real women, how to be flexible designer, key considerations in creating a collection and a designer portfolio.
