ILP was founded in 1977 on Jl. Ciomas, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. This first outlet is supported by professional native speaker teaching staff to support the formation of qualified Indonesian teaching staff.
In 1979, ILP established a Teacher Training Division as well as opened a second outlet on Jl. Juanda, Central Jakarta, with Indonesian teaching staff.
ILP also carries out various other educational activities, such as Indonesian language education for foreigners, Mandarin language education, as well as developing the Corporate Training Division and ILP Eduport for study abroad consultations.
In 1998, ILP developed a franchise system as a business development strategy. The first franchise outlet is ILP Depok, and to date ILP has a total of 46 outlets in Jakarta, Java, Bali and Sumatra.
