MAREFAT International School (MIS) is a private fully inclusive 3-18 year co-educational day school which provides quality education with genuine care. It comprises Early Years, Primary and Secondary Sections that work closely together in a distinctive, friendly family atmosphere. 

Mandarin classes are also offered during regular schools hours. It is the aim of the school to mould the students to be Tri–Lingual in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. The schools is well equipped with air conditioned classrooms, cafeteria, labourites, library, music room, computer laboratory, basketball courts and other facilities. Where additional facilities like football court, badminton and volley ball court are available for the students.

Course

Early Years

SMAREFAT preschool adopts the international early years curriculam (IEYC). The IEYC has a focus on the best practices in early childhood education and development needs. Learning is holistic. It is both enquiry based and played. IEYC covers all six areas of the foundation stage.

Primary Curriculum

MAREFAT School will focuses on the learning needs of the individual child, with mastery of essential basic skills being one of the school’s goals. The Cambridge International Examination Primary Curriculum is the main curriculum taught at Marefat International School.

Secondary Curriculum

Building a strong foundation in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. At this level, students are coached to develop skills and knowledge across a range of Subjects to prepare them to take on the challenges of IGCSE courses.

IGCSE / A-Level

Key Stage 4 is a two-year IGCSE course that culminates in examinations administered by CIE (Cambridge International Examination).The A Level is a subject-based qualification conferred as part of the General Certificate of Education, as well as a school leaving qualification.

Canadian Pre-University Diploma

The Canadian Pre-University programme is a Pre-University programme for students who have completed SPM, O-Levels or equivalent. This means that you take this course before pursuing a degree at university (hence, the word pre). There are two primary programmes offered in Malaysia – Canadian Pre-University (CPU) and CIMP (Canadian International Matriculation Programme). Both CPU and CIMP are the same and leads to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), which is awarded to Canadian students who successfully complete 12th Grade in high school.

Taekwondo

Our Taekwondo class divided into three sections:The warm up involves stretching, and a very light cardiovascular activity such as jogging or jumping jacks. The practice would involve kicking drills, Poomsae (forms) practice, and sparring sessions.

Dance

The course in Rhythmic Analysis, taken at the same time as Composition II, introduces basic music theory, which supports your study of creating dance.
