PAAT is a joint venture for Airbus A320 type rating and recurrency training centre of CAE and Cebu Pacific Air. Cebu Pacific and CAE, a leader in Commercial Aviation Training, launched its joint venture Philippine Academy for Aviation Training (PAAT) in December 2012 as the training centre arm based in Clark, Philippines. It has two Level D Airbus A320 full-flight simulators and one CPT (CAE Procedures Trainer).
- Entry Level Training
Introduction to Jet Flying – includes key advanced handling skills development, automation management, with an introduction to auto-flight and flight director system operation; navigation and procedural exercises, normal and non-normal system management, and emergency procedures with an emphasis on multi-crew operation. Multi Crew Cooperation- trains pilots to work in a multi-member flight crew with communication and coordination.
- A320 Initial Type Rating
This training course shall provide pilot trainees with sufficient knowledge and competence to pass required practical exams of the Regulatory Authorities for initial qualification and type-rating in the Airbus A320 aircraft.
- Recurrent Training
Provides the client with training by complying with the Regulatory Authorities’ requirement of maintaining aptitude, skill wise, by conducting a series of training sessions followed by a proficiency check conducted with an inspector assigned by the Regulatory Authority.
