The Department of Zoology was established in 18th December, 1978. The Department aims to strive for academic excellence in teaching and research, to facilitate the students in their advancement study of Zoology and to enhance the conservation of irreplaceable biodiversity (invertebrates, amphibian, fish, reptile, aves, mammals and so on.) The Department offers pregraduate and postgraduate courses to students studying for further degrees leading to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Master of Research degrees. The Department maintains a library, a museum and three modern laboratories.
